Trees
Once 15% of all trees in the Bos. Since 2012 the ash dieback fungus Hymenoscyphus fraxineus has decimated the population: ~500 trees felled January–February 2017, another ~835 in 2018, more than 1,300 lost cumulatively. The graph shows observation activity surging from 1–8 per year (2010–2024) to 62 records in early 2026 — the attention signal of a species being watched as it dies.
