Trees
Ectomycorrhizal backbone of the Bos. The pedunculate oak partners with most of the iconic fungi found here — Russula, Amanita, Boletus, Cantharellus, Lactarius quietus, Amanita phalloides. The oldest oaks in the Bos were planted in 1937 around the Bosbaan and are now about 89 years old — roughly 9% through their potential 1,000-year lifespan. They will outlast every plan written for the forest.
